What is the Seattle Wine Map?

A visual guide to wine stores, wine bars, wineries, and tasting rooms in Seattle. The map is currently a Google Map on the Seattle Wine Calendar web site, but will eventually be distributed in a printed version as well.

Criteria for Inclusion

The map is intended to be independent and comprehensive, and qualified wine businesses may be included free of charge. To qualify, a business must be located within Seattle city limits, and meet at least one of the following criteria:

WINE STORE
A retail business primarily or substantially dedicated to selling wine and wine accessories, and marketed as such. This includes stores with at least 50% of their retail floor space or at least 50% of their gross revenue related to wine sales. Other stores may be included at the discretion of the map producer.

WINE BAR
A retail business substantially dedicated to selling wine for on-site consumption, and marketed as such. This includes restaurants and bars with at least 50% of their gross revenue related to wine sales. Other stores may be included at the discretion of the map producer.

WINERY
A business that produces wine on-site that is open to the public for wine tasting, tours, and/or purchase, either with regular hours or by appointment.

TASTING ROOM
A retail business substantially dedicated to wine tasting, and marketed as such.
